The 2014 Numbers Game, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, was produced in the highly acclaimed Napa Valley, famous for its rich soils and perfect growing conditions. This wine is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with a blend of two other Bordeaux Varietals, Cabernet Franc & Petite Verdot. The paramount vineyard is the Red Hen Vineyard, a premier site in the Oak Knoll District in the heart of the Valley. The wine is made complete with a few other select Vineyards throughout the Napa Valley. Winemaker, Steve Matthiasson, is one of the most highly acclaimed winemakers in his generation, four time nominee for a James Beard award for excellence in winemaking. 2014 was hailed as a perfect growing season in the Napa Valley and a very highly praised vintage. The third year of a drought cycle which lends to better mid-weight structure, softer tannins and silkier texture.
